POWERED

by the sun

The ecoPOP's solar panel captures the sun's energy and turns it into electricity. This electricity is stored in a battery and used to power the pump that irrigates your plants.

Watered

by the rain

The ecoPOP stands away from any water source and instead captures rainwater and stores it in its two tanks. It is self-irrigating and waters your plants twice a day.

Fertilised

by compost

A built-in worm farm in the ecoPOP turns your food waste into rich nutrients your plants use to grow. The worm juice drips into the tank and is constantly feeding your garden!

What is an ecopop?

An ecoPOP is a small free-standing and self-sustained green oasis.

It catches and stores its own water from rainfall, powers itself with the energy of the sun, generates its own nutrients, grows your own food, recycles materials, refreshes and cools cities, improves the air quality, and builds better communities.

WHY SHOULD WE ECOPOP?
Because ecoPOPs create a cooler street for pedestrians, animals and plants.  More shade and lower temperatures mean lower energy bills and a healthier city.
Because ecoPOPs provide an opportunity to learn about local food gardens, how solar energy works, how to harvest rainwater, and how to turn food waste into a resource.
Because ecoPOPs are a teaching and education tool, quick and easy to assemble by any person, and a great way to turn a bitumen or concrete area into a beautiful space.
ecoPOPs partners with Tankworks
Since its establishment in 1934, Tankworks has manufactured quality, long-lasting water tanks; today they are a leading name in the rainwater harvesting industry. Their longevity and the fact that they incorporate the latest manufacturing processes and technology means that Tankworks is ecoPOPs’ preferred tank supplier.

Their focus is on producing only the highest quality products (manufactured in Australia with Australian steel), and they guarantee a precision-engineered water tank backed by a long-term warranty. Should you ever dispose of your tank,  the materials are completely recyclable and can be reclaimed and reused for other purposes.
